Hon Jibril Abu Pays Working Visit to Works Commissioner, Advocates for Ajaokuta Road Projects in 2025 Budget

The Honorable Member representing Ajaokuta State Constituency, Hon. Jibril Abu, has paid a working visit to the Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Muhammed Yusuf Ahovi, to follow up on Ajaokuta road projects captured in the 2025 budget. The visit was aimed at ensuring proper and prompt execution of key infrastructural projects, particularly the Roads earmarked for construction across Ajaokuta State Constituency.
During the meeting, Hon. Jibril Abu expressed his appreciation to the Commissioner for his contributions to the state’s infrastructural development and much is his philanthropic dispositions in the face of paucity of resources. He acknowledged the Commissioner’s efforts in fulfilling his mandate and solicited further attention to m Road Projects in Ajaokuta, emphasizing their importance to the economic and social well-being of the constituency.
The Lawmaker specifically highlighted critical road projects captured in the 2025 budget, appealing for priority attention in their implementation. These projects include:
Construction of the Ebiya-Patesi-Adogo-Unosi 35km Road, Construction of the Lion Club-Geregu 4.974km Road, Construction of the Obabara-Uhuovene-Upake 37km Road and Construction of the Flood Alternative Road in Nyamanyama-Joztan Plaza, Lokoja (7km C4).

In his response, the Honorable Commissioner for Works, expressed appreciation for the visit, acknowledging the commitment of Hon. Jibril Abu to the development of Ajaokuta. He assured the Lawmaker that the Ministry of Works would prioritize the execution of the Road Projects and remain steadfast in delivering significant infrastructural development to the area.
The Commissioner also commended Hon. Jibril Abu for his proactive Leadership, noting his dedication to Education, Healthcare, Agriculture and other critical areas. He lauded the Lawmaker’s efforts in ensuring that the people of Ajaokuta receive dividends of democracy, expressing confidence that Hon. Jibril Abu would continue to build on his successes.
He further urged the Honorable Member to continue to uphold the trust and confidence reposed in him by the people of Ajaokuta, ensuring the continuous fulfillment of his campaign promises and the advancement of his Constituency.
The visit marks a significant step in reinforcing Government’s commitment to infrastructural development in Ajaokuta, as stakeholders the Member, House of Representatives, Hon Sanni Egidi A’raheem, Hon Jibril Abu, House of Assembly Ajaokuta State Constituency and Hon Taye Abanika, Commissioner for Housing work collectively to ensure successful execution of projects that will transform the Constituency.
