Ankpa LG Chairman Donates Tricycles, Sanitation Tools to Boost Environmental Cleanliness
The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Area, Hon. Ademu Mohammed Yahaya, has donated vital sanitation equipment to the local government’s Works Department in a strategic effort to enhance environmental sanitation and improve waste management within Ankpa.
The donated items include two brand new tricycles, wheelbarrows, watering cans, spades, and other essential tools. This gesture stresses the Chairman’s commitment to promoting a cleaner and healthier environment for the residents of Ankpa.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Ademu emphasized that the equipment would significantly improve the department’s capacity to collect and dispose of waste more efficiently. He praised the dedication and collaboration of his team, attributing the success of his administration to their constructive input and support.
“I have never regretted working with the team around me, particularly the management of the Ankpa Local Government Council. Their wealth of ideas and commitment has been instrumental to our achievements,” the Chairman stated.
Hon. Ademu also commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his exemplary leadership. He pledged to continue aligning his administration’s efforts with the state government’s vision for a more developed and sustainable Kogi State.
The donation, which reflects Hon. Ademu’s broader commitment to community development, will be supervised by the Supervisor for Works and Housing, Hon. Attah Enjema. The Chairman urged the department to ensure proper use and maintenance of the equipment, stressing that they are intended for the collective benefit of the people.
