As Muslims across Kogi State and beyond mark the Eid-el-Kabir festival, the Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, has called on young people to draw inspiration from the spirit of sacrifice and service embodied by the celebration.

In a goodwill message on Friday, the Commissioner described Eid-el-Kabir as “a powerful symbol of faith, sacrifice, and submission to the will of Allah,” urging Muslim faithful to embrace the values of humility, love, and community upliftment.

Hon. Anyebe congratulated the Muslim community and praised the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, commending his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, sports development, and inclusive governance across the state.

“I congratulate His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his steadfast leadership. Under his guidance, we are building a stronger, more inclusive Kogi for present and future generations,” he said.

To the youth of Kogi, the Commissioner charged them to use the season as an opportunity to reflect on the principles of discipline, perseverance, and selfless contribution to societal growth.

“May this Eid bring peace to our hearts, progress to our land, and unity to our people,” he concluded.
