Abdulrahman Enesi Emerges as Kogi NYCN Chairman

Comrade Abdulrahman Abdulmumuni Enesi has been elected as the new Chairman of the Kogi State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) following a keenly contested delegates election held on Saturday in Lokoja.

The election, which took place at the Youth House in the state capital, saw Enesi clinch a landslide victory with 102 votes. His closest rival, Ismail Mustapha, polled 15 votes, while Jegede Onotu Abdulazeez and Daniel Adavize Sunday garnered 4 and 1 votes respectively.

The peaceful conduct of the election was praised by observers and stakeholders, who commended the delegates for demonstrating maturity and unity in the interest of youth development in the state.

Enesi, in his victory speech, thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and promised to run an inclusive administration that will harness the potential of young people across the state. He also pledged to work in synergy with government institutions and civil society to create opportunities for youth empowerment, innovation, and leadership development.

The newly elected chairman called on his fellow contestants and all stakeholders to join hands with him in advancing the vision of the NYCN in Kogi State, noting that the task ahead requires collective efforts.

His emergence is seen by many as a new dawn for youth leadership in the state, with expectations high for a vibrant and forward-looking council under his leadership.
