Ogori/Magongo Stakeholders Endorse Governor Ododo for Second Term

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area in Kogi State have unanimously endorsed Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office.

The decision was reached at a stakeholders’ meeting of party executives and political appointees held at the Local Government Secretariat.

Chairperson of Ogori/Magongo LGA, Hon. Rosemary Ohiezu, said the endorsement was borne out of the governor’s performance in office and his commitment to the development of the state.

She assured that the local government area is in full support of governor Ododo continuing beyond 2027.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Women Mobilization, Hon. Charity Ijese, in her remarks, outlined key achievements of the Ododo administration, including prompt payment of salaries and pensions, provision of bursaries to students, free education programs, provision of electricity transformers, inclusion of local indigenes in political appointments, as well as youth and women empowerment initiatives.

Ijese further appreciated the former Chairman of the Local Government Area, Hon. Goke Oparison, for his role in uniting political leaders in Ogori/Magongo towards achieving the common goal of the area. She urged all stakeholders to remain united in the interest of progress and development, assuring that Governor Ododo has shown to be a just leader who would not disappoint them.

On his part, Hon. Goke Oparison called on the people of Ogori/Magongo to continue to support the Ododo administration and work collectively to attract more dividends of democracy to the area.

Other stakeholders who spoke also declared their support for the governor’s re-election bid, pledging to mobilize grassroots support to ensure his victory at the polls.

Present at the meeting were the Special Adviser on Security, the Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization, Ward Councillors, and other political stakeholders from across the local government area.
