“Your Father’s Spirit Lives on Through You” – Yahaya Bello Condoles Governor Ododo

Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has commiserated with the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, who passed away at the age of 83.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Bello described the late patriarch as more than just a parent but a “moral compass, a wise guide and a stabilising force” whose values shaped Governor Ododo into a responsible leader.
He noted that the deceased lived a fulfilled life and left behind a lasting legacy, especially through the leadership of his son, who now serves the people of Kogi State with integrity and humility.
“I mourn Baba with you and I share, deeply and personally, in your pain for he was, in every sense, my own father as well. Take comfort in knowing that your father’s spirit lives on through you,” Bello said.
The former governor prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, grant him Aljannah Firdaus, and give the entire Ododo family the strength to bear the loss.
