UKOMU Igala Organization Set to Inaugurate National Executive Council September 6
The UKOMU Igala Organization, a leading socio-cultural body dedicated to the unity and progress of the Igala nation, has announced that it will inaugurate its National Executive Council (NEC) on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
The event, billed to hold at the NBA House, Plot 1101, Muhammadu Buhari Way, Central Business District, Abuja, will commence at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to attract dignitaries, cultural leaders, and members of the Igala community from across Nigeria and the diaspora.
According to the organization, the inauguration marks a new phase of purposeful leadership, with the NEC set to champion initiatives in cultural identity, youth empowerment, community development, and advocacy for the socio-economic advancement of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Michael Idachaba, described the inauguration as “a call to service,” noting that the incoming leadership would be guided by inclusiveness and accountability. Similarly, Chief J.S. Okutepa, SAN, who chairs the Inauguration Committee, emphasized that the NEC would serve as “a rallying point for unity, cultural renaissance, and the empowerment of Igala people at home and in the diaspora.”
The UKOMU Igala Organization has extended an open invitation to Igala sons and daughters, friends of the nation, and the general public to participate in what it described as a landmark event.
