Okehi LG Chairman, Hon. Amoka Eneji Lays Mother to Rest »

The Executive Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday, on Monday laid to rest his beloved mother, Madam Amoka Rekiya Alice, at Holy Trinity Church, Oboroke, Okehi LGA.

The funeral service, which drew dignitaries, family members, friends, and well-wishers, was marked by an outpouring of tributes celebrating the life and legacies of the late Madam Alice.

Speaking at the burial, Hon. Amoka described the passing of his mother as a painful loss, noting that the memory and virtues she left behind remain a source of comfort to the family.

Representing the Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, was the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Momoh Ozigi Deedat, who attended alongside the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Fatimah Momoh, leading the state delegation.

Also in attendance were Executive Chairmen from the five Local Government Areas of Kogi Central District, who came in solidarity with their colleague during the moment of grief.

Hon. Amoka expressed gratitude to his siblings, extended family members, the people of Anokehi, and party faithfuls across Kogi State for their support and prayers.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of his mother’s soul, asking God to grant her eternal rest.
