Ankpa LG Chairman Congratulates Kogi State Government, Citizens on 34th Anniversary »

Hon. Engr. Ademu Muhammed Yahaya, the Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Council, has felicitated with the outstanding Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the industrious people of Kogi state, as the state attains 34th year anniversary today, with its creation dated as far back as 27th August, 1991.

‘The commemoration calls for deep reflection amongst the people of the state. Kogi otherwise known as the ‘Confluence State’ is blessed with numerous natural resources and human capital. I strongly believe that with unity, peace and synergized efforts, our dear state will realize its potentials,’ Engr. Ademu stated.

Engr. Ademu used the opportunity to reassure the peace-loving people of Ankpa of his commitment towards effective administration, promising not to rest on his laurels, but continue to use the instrumentality of his position to attract dividends of democracy to our people.

‘In a very special way, I laud the top notch leadership cum administration of the Chief Servant of Kogi state, H.E. Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo—for his most exemplary leadership qualities and demonstration of core humility towards all.

‘As well, I appreciate the good people of Ankpa local government for their continued support and cooperation, and I pledge that under my watch our local government will continue to advance in all indices of human, infrastructural, economic development and security of lives and property,’ Engr. Ademu remarked.

Engr. Ademu also recognized the efforts and resilience of the youths whom he believes are the life wire of the society, noting that on his part, he will continue to attract projects and programmes aimed at tackling unemployment as well as palliative the suffering of the less privileged in the area.

‘On this special day, I urge Kogites to remain good ambassadors of the state as well as partners in building a better and prosperous society in line with the vision of the state’s founding fathers. I wish all Kogites a happy anniversary and pray God to continue to strengthen the humility personified Governor and make the state more prosperous for the betterment of all citizens,’ Engr. Ademu noted.
