In line with the vision of the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, to bring government and good governance closer to the people at the grassroots, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has appointed 30 new grassroots assistants in Mopamuro Local Government Area. This is in addition to the 20 earlier appointed.

The appointments, which cut across the 10 wards of Mopamuro LGA, are aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery at the grassroots.

Hon. Fanwo’s leadership style has been widely described as worthy of emulation, with the initiative expected to deepen reforms and further improve service delivery across critical sectors in the local government area.

The appointees from diverse professional and community backgrounds received their letters through the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on Cultural Integration (West), Hon. Moses Sunday (Alumo), who represented the Commissioner. He urged them to deploy their expertise in supporting the administration of Governor Ododo by driving its activities, policies, and programmes at the grassroots.

The gesture has been described as a reaffirmation of Hon. Fanwo’s unwavering commitment to serve humanity with sincerity and dedication.

Speaking to journalists shortly after receiving his letter, one of the appointees commended Hon. Fanwo for his selflessness, commitment, and philanthropic spirit, which continue to positively impact the lives of citizens. He also called on other political office holders to emulate Hon. Fanwo to make governance more effective and responsive.

He prayed for God Almighty to continue to bless, guide, and strengthen the Commissioner as he discharges his duties in service to the people.
