Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Organizes Computer Proficiency Test for Staff

As part of its ongoing effort to digitalize all departments and units, the Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, has organized a comprehensive computer proficiency test for its staff. The exercise, which involved both academic and non-academic staff, was designed to assess their knowledge and competence in basic and advanced computer applications.
The Provost, Dr. M. K. Ibrahim, noted that the initiative underscores the institution’s commitment to aligning with global best practices in higher education management. According to him, the digitalization of administrative processes, teaching, and research cannot be fully achieved without equipping staff with adequate computer skills.
He emphasized that the computer literacy test is not merely an assessment but also a tool to identify training needs, ensuring that every staff member is carried along in the College’s digital transformation agenda.
The Director of the College ICT Unit, Mr. Yakubu Mohammed, added that following the assessment, staff members would be recommended for further training to equip them with up-to-date computer skills required for efficient service delivery.
