Provost KSCOET Mopa Receives Tetfund Board of Trustees, Advocates for More Funding Opportunities

The Provost of Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, Dr. M.K. Ibrahim, received member of the TETFund Board of Trustees (BOT) and North Central Zonal Representative of the Fund during their official visit to the College.
In his welcome address, the Provost recalled that the College was relocated from Kabba, its original permanent site, to Mopa following the creation of the Kogi State University. He explained that the Institution has since fully settled in Mopa with academic and administrative activities in full swing. Dr. Ibrahim noted that the State Government, with significant support from TETFund, is making steady efforts to provide infrastructure at the new site, adding that for 2025, the Institution had already benefited from allocations across several intervention lines.
He further acknowledged the consistent interventions the College has enjoyed from TETFund, both normal and special, and expressed appreciation for the sustained interest of the North Central representatives. According to him, these efforts have gone a long way in complementing the initiatives of the Kogi State Government in repositioning the institution.
The Provost, who emphasized the recent entrepreneurial fund and the security fund enjoyed from TETFund, expressed his gratitude to Engr. Adeyemi and looked forward to more interventions that would fast-track the Institution’s development.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Ibrahim reiterated the College’s commitment to the proper utilization of funds for the purpose for which they are released. While expressing profound gratitude to the BOT and management of TETFund for their consistent support, he appealed to Engr. Adeyemi to take special interest in KSCOE (T) Mopa and advocate for special funding in the 2026 budget to accelerate infrastructural development.
During the visit, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, BOT member representing North Central Nigeria, commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for appointing Dr. M.K Ibrahim, describing him as a goal getter who has consistently keep in touch with the BOT and the Management of the Fund towards facilitating more intervention for the institution.
The highlight of the visit was the decoration of Engr. Adeyemi as a Friend of the College in recognition of his contributions and commitment to the growth of the institution.
