Lokoja LG Chairman Joins Traditional Rulers To Address Security Progress
The Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the deliberate and strategic investments in strengthening security through the provision of logistics and operational support to the security agencies which has significantly improved safety in Lokoja Local Government Area.
In his address at the meeting with the traditional rulers from Lokoja 2 constituency, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu expressed his appreciation to the governor for demonstrating exceptional commitment to securing the State which has so far reduced the insecurity significantly with farmers returning to the fields and businesses thriving again.
He also used the opportunity to appeal to the governor to approve for the recruitment of more KSVS personnel to provide more men in the rural communities, additional military outposts in isolated communities like Jakura as well as the deployment of non-Kinetic approach.
The Council Chairman also expressed his gratitude particularly to the State Security Adviser, Commodore Jerry Omodara (Rtd), 12th Brigade Commander, KU Sidi, the Mayaki of Kupa and the Agankyu of Kakanda for their active roles and tremendous support to the local security architecture.
Critical stakeholder in attendance include the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Umar Aliyu Umar Yusuf, Member HoR, Suleiman Danladi Aguye, DG BPP, Barr. S.J Ehimoni and all the traditional rulers from Lokoja 2 state Constituency.
Others includes the Incoming Lokoja Local Government Chairman, Hon. Abdulrahman Hussain Idris, State APC Youth Leader, Hon. Buhari Lokoja, Lokoja APC Chairman, Idris Alooma Kupa, as well as Presidents of Socio-cultural groups; Chief Okete Jibril-Ibrahim, Aminu Isa among others.
