City Boy Movement Mobilises for Tinubu, Ododo Re-election in Kogi »

The Kogi State chapter of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has commenced grassroots mobilisation for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The movement made its position known on Sunday during an interactive session involving members from the 21 local government areas of the state, held in Lokoja, where its newly constituted state and local government executives were inaugurated.

The event brought together party loyalists, political stakeholders, youth leaders and supporters from across Kogi State as the organisation moved to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Director-General of the Kogi State chapter of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Ogah Mark Okpanachi, said the organisation had established political structures across the state and was positioned to support the electoral prospects of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

Okpanachi said the movement was not established to compete with existing political support groups but to complement the efforts of the APC and other stakeholders in promoting the policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration.

He identified unity, collaboration and sustained mobilisation as key principles guiding the movement, while urging the newly inaugurated state and local government executives to work with APC leaders in their respective areas.

He also tasked them with intensifying grassroots sensitisation, public enlightenment and community engagement to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to Okpanachi, the City Boy Movement is a non-partisan support platform established to promote the policies, programmes and developmental vision of President Tinubu while encouraging greater citizen participation in governance.

He commended members of the movement across the state for their commitment and urged them to remain focused on the objective of supporting the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Earlier, the Kogi State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Jerry Olayemi, described Kogi State as the “second home” of President Tinubu, citing what he described as growing political awareness, expanding membership and increased grassroots mobilisation across the state’s 21 local government areas.

Olayemi also commended Okpanachi for what he described as inclusive and visionary leadership, saying his consultative approach had strengthened internal cohesion and improved the effectiveness of the movement.

He said the City Boy Movement had expanded its organisational structures across Kogi State and commenced strategic mobilisation activities aimed at consolidating support for President Tinubu and Governor Ododo ahead of the 2027 polls.

The state coordinator expressed optimism that the movement would continue to serve as a grassroots support platform for the APC, describing the inauguration of the executives as another milestone in its organisational development.

Highlight of the ceremony was the formal inauguration of state executives, local government coordinators and other officials, who pledged to intensify political mobilisation, strengthen support structures and promote APC programmes across Kogi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
