Kogi Information Commissioner, Kingsley Fanwo, Celebrates Auditor-General for Local Government, Yakubu Adabenege, on Birthday

The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has felicitated with the Auditor-General for Local Government of the State, Hon. Yakubu Adabenege Siyaka, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a congratulatory message personally signed and released on Thursday, Fanwo described the Auditor-General as a meticulous, honest and dedicated public servant whose commitment to accountability, transparency and effective service delivery has remained commendable.
The Commissioner commended Adabenege for his notable milestones in the timely release of audit reports, transparent monitoring of projects and capacity-building initiatives for staff, noting that these efforts have contributed significantly to strengthening public confidence and promoting responsible governance at the grassroots.
Fanwo said the Auditor-General’s leadership had continued to raise the standard of financial accountability in local government administration, particularly through the prompt presentation of audit reports and rigorous evaluation of financial activities.
He stated: “Happy birthday to Hon. Yakubu Adabenege Siyaka. His outstanding leadership as Auditor-General for Local Government of the State has significantly strengthened financial accountability at the grassroots. Under his direction, the timely release of audit reports has set a commendable standard for transparency, while his team’s rigorous evaluations have helped identify systemic risks and safeguard public resources.”
Fanwo further praised Adabenege for his unwavering commitment to integrity and public service, stressing that his contributions would continue to strengthen citizens’ trust in local governance and promote greater accountability in the management of public resources.
The Commissioner prayed that Almighty God would grant the Auditor-General renewed strength, sound health, wisdom and divine guidance as he continues to pilot the affairs of his office and contribute to the development of Kogi State.
