Angry Kogi Youths Beat Soldier for Making Advances at Married Woman

Some angry youths have reportedly attacked a soldier whose identity is yet to be known for allegedly making advances to a married woman in Gadumo community area of Lokoja, Kogi state.
According to a witness (name withheld), the incident happened close to the Master Energy Filling Station in Gadumo on Tuesday.
The witness noted that the soldier who came from Lagos was fond of making advances to girls in the village adding that when the soldier made overtures to a married woman, she turned down his request and reported to her Husband when he became persistent.
Mr. Williams Aya, the state police public relations officer who said the incident had yet to be reported to the command however revealed that when divisional police officer in charge of C Division visited the community, he was told that the soldier had been taken away by the army.
Efforts to reach the army to get their own side of the story had however proved abortive.
