Kogi Agric Ministry gets new Perm Sec

A new Permanent Secretary has been sworn-in to take over the mantle of leadership in the Kogi State Ministry of Agriculture.
The new Permanent Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Udenyi was directed by the Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Keinde Oloruntoba to resume office with immediate effect.
In his address during the handing over ceremony, the Commissioner described the out going Permanent Secretary, Doctor Isah Ochepa as a workaholic persona who made sure that the objectives of the ministry were achieved
Hon. Oloruntoba said change was inevitable and necessary for the ministry to grow and accommodate people with fresh ideas that could move the State forward.
“The essence of life is that we have to part sometimes and things like this will have to happen if we have to grow as we do not pray to remain stagnant in life” he said.
He expressed appreciation to the former Permanent Secretary for his passion for the job, his sacrifices and appealed to the people to forgive in any way they might have had misunderstanding on the job as it wasn't personal.
“You have been wonderful, as a ministry we are grateful for your support to the government under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello” he added.
The commissioner called on the new permanent secretary to have an open mind and to embrace everyone and assured him of his support and cooperation.
Speaking, the out going Permanent Secretary, Doctor Isah Ochepa described the Commissioner as a dynamic individual with positive ideas. He called on the workers to cooperate with the new Permanent Secretary to enable him achieve the government's objectives in agriculture.
On his part, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Hon. David Apeh emphasized the need to live in peace with one another and prayed that the hard work the former permanent secretary was known for take him to greater heights in his future endeavours.
In his remarks, the new Permanent Secretary, Mr Udenyi expressed appreciation to the Governor for insisting on merit in the selection process.
Mr Udenyi applauded the government for the on-going massive agricultural revolution that has created jobs for thousands and put food on the table for many in the State.
While assuring of an open door policy, he called on the workers to show a renewed commitment towards work and promised to bring to bear his wealth of experience.
