ACF Lauds Gov. Bello’s Security Model in Kogi State
The Arewa Consultative Forum has praised the Leadership style of Gov. Yahaya Bello, particularly in his fight against insecurity in the State.
Mr. Emmanuel Yawe, the Publicity Secretary, Arewa Consultative Forum,
made the disclosure at the day two of the ongoing first Annual GYB Seminar for Nigeria’s Political and Crime Correspondents holding at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
Mr. Emmanuel Yawe, in a presentation titled: “Taming Insecurity across Nigeria: Special Focus on the North, described Kogi State as a melting point of the North, appreciated the efforts of the State Government in making the State one of the safest in the country.
The ACF Spokesman maintained that political differences, sheer irresponsibility, and fear of domination as causes of insecurity in the North, urged the Northerners to come together in the fight against insecurity.
He called for a careful handling of the issues causing insecurity in the North, lamented that insecurity has remained the major issues bedeviling the North, said the 21 Year old ACF is a child born out of the need by Northern Leaders to form a formidable front in advancing issues of development for the region.
Mr. Emmanuel Yawe, commended Gov. Bello for managing the complexity of Kogi State, cautioned political leaders against making outrageous and inflammatory claims capable causing insecurity in the country.
He charged Political Leaders to rather than promote disharmony, promote harmony as it remains the bedrock to Sustainable development in the country, called for all hands by the Northern Leaders to join hands in the fight against insecurity.
