Alexander Victor bags Lecturer of the Year award from Dublin Business School

A Nigerian development expert, researcher, and entrepreneur, Alexander Victor, has been named lecturer of the year by Dublin Business School in Ireland.

Victor received the prestigious award on March 30th, 2024 amid big cheers from colleagues and well-wishers.

The 39-year-old holds dual PhD degrees, one in Applied Mathematics from NSUK, Nigeria, and another in Financial Mathematics from PAUSTI, Kenya.

He also possesses three Master’s degrees: one in Applied Mathematics from the University of Abuja, Nigeria, and another in Financial Mathematics from the same institution and he has completed a Master of Science in Financial Engineering at WorldQuant University, USA.

With over 12 years of professional experience, the Edo-born has held leadership positions in various organizations. His most recent role was as a project/research lead with Schemas Group and prior to that, he had served as a research fellow/econometrician with the DFS project sponsored by the BMGF and the Strivers project sponsored by the MasterCard Foundation at LBS – Pan Atlantic University, Nigeria.

Currently, Victor is engaged in advanced research at Dublin City University, specializing in the augmentation of financial time series using deep generative adversary networks.

Prior to this, he served as a senior lecturer at the Department of Actuarial Science, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agricultural Technology, where he imparted knowledge in financial risk management and advanced financial mathematics.
