Ankpa Council Boss Inspects Ongoing Projects by Governor Ododo

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Council, Hon. Engr. Ademu Mohammed Yahaya, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Kogi State Government under the leadership of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to delivering quality healthcare services as a key priority of the administration.

Hon. Yahaya made this known during an inspection tour of ongoing and completed infrastructural projects across various communities in the local government area, including the Primary Healthcare Centres at Ojoku District, Amoke in Ankpa Ward 2, Ankpa Health Centre, and Emekutu in Ankpa Ward 1. The tour also covered a borehole project aimed at enhancing access to potable water, all facilitated by the state government.

Speaking during the inspection, the Council Chairman expressed appreciation for the strides being made under Governor Ododo’s administration to revitalize healthcare delivery. He noted that many of the facilities had previously been in a dilapidated state before the intervention of the present administration.

“Although I receive regular updates from project coordinators and healthcare staff on the progress of these initiatives, I found it necessary to personally assess the level of work done. So far, the quality and pace of implementation are commendable. We remain committed to doing even more,” Hon. Yahaya stated.

He emphasized that the Governor’s mandate includes a comprehensive upgrade and rehabilitation of primary healthcare centres across the state to ensure improved medical services for residents at the grassroots level.

Hon. Yahaya further reiterated Governor Ododo’s commitment to the welfare of Kogi residents, assuring that the state government will continue to invest in essential infrastructure to improve living standards.

Accompanying the Chairman on the inspection were notable officials including the Zonal Security Adviser (Ankpa Federal Axis), Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed; Special Adviser to the Chairman on Special Duties and Political Matters, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu; Leader of the 8th Ankpa Legislative Council, Hon. Ladi Stephen; Deputy Leader, Hon. Nasiru Yahaya; Majority Leader, Hon. Suleiman Muhammed; Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Haruna; Director of Local Government (DLG), Alhaji Shaibu Ahmed Usman; and the Head of Education, Hajia Vivian Idama, among others.
