Ankpa LG Chairman Flags-Off Construction of PHC »

Hon. Engr. Ademu Mohammed Yahaya, the Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Area, has flagged off the construction of a new primary healthcare project in Odagba community in Enjema Ward 1, demonstrating his commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in the area.

Performing the flag off ceremony, Engr. Ademu remarked that it was Council’s desire to make healthcare delivery in Ankpa a model for other Local Government Areas in the state while charging the good people of Ankpa to always take full advantage of all healthcare initiatives by the state and local government by regularly visiting the Primary Health Care Centers closest to them for proper medical attention as well as ensuring that their children get the necessary medicare.

He hinted that apart from the routine monitoring and supervision carried out by the Primary Health Care Department of the Council, there was also a team of task force comprised of himself, the Supervisor for Health, Hon. Sani Yunusa Jibrin, the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Shuaibu Ahmed Usman to ensure effective health care delivery and timely completion of the project across the council area.

Engineer Ademu, who lauded Governor Ododo’s health care initiatives which he described as top notch also averred that Kogi state was truly a state fit for a child because governments at state and local government levels have continued to demonstrate so much commitment to this end.

While reminding the general public that his administration would never compromise on the healthcare of Ankpa people, especially children, he further commended the governor of the state Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for the necessary interventions in Primary Health Care delivery across Kogi state.

Traditional rulers in attendance, led by the Onu Enjema, HRH Ameh Maxwell, commended the local government chairman for the initiative.

They expressed their appreciation for the improved healthcare access and facilities provided by the project. They also lauded the chairman’s dedication to public health and his commitment to serving the community at large.

‘The healthcare project, has been well-received by the traditional leaders. We believe it will significantly enhance healthcare delivery in the area, making it more accessible and efficient for residents,’ the Onu Enjema stated.

They also pledged their support to the council chairman and the state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in ensuring the project’s sustainability and continued success.

It is noteworthy that this initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the health and well-being of Odagba community and its environs, particularly in terms of providing accessible and affordable primary healthcare services.
