Ankpa LG Chairman Inaugurates Committee On CVR Across Wards

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government, Hon. Engr. Adamu Muhammed Yahaya, earlier today inaugurated Committee on Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) across the 13 political wards in the area.
The Chairman emphasized his administration’s commitment to ensuring that every eligible citizen of Ankpa local government has the opportunity to register, obtain, do a transfer of polling unit and update their voter cards.
Speaking at the event, Engr. Adamu explained that the committee was set up to help mobilize residents across all wards, deepen voter education, and encourage full participation in the upcoming elections.



The council chairman highlighted that active participation in the electoral process is not only a civic responsibility but also a powerful tool for shaping the future of the community.
Notably, the ward committee is mandated to work hand-in-hand with central committee earlier set up.
It also included all the 13 Ward Councillors of Ankpa Local Government, the entire exco members of APC as automatic members, with the aim of achieving the desired goal (s).
‘This wide representation will enable the committee to reach every nook and cranny of the Local Government,’ the chairman noted.
With this inauguration, Engr. Adamu reiterated his call for unity, transparency, and inclusiveness in governance, while encouraging all residents, especially youths and women, to take advantage of the opportunity to secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stressing that ‘the power to make a difference in our democracy lies in your hands.’
The committee went home with a highly creamed mobilization to commence the exercise forthwith, as members of the committee were urged to use the money judiciously.
‘The ongoing Continuous Voter Registration is not for the interest of a particular party, but for the growth of the area at large, and that will go a long way in attracting development in the community,’ Engr. Adamu said.
