Ankpa LG Chairman Inspects Waterboard Site, Pledges to Recover All Equipment

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Council, Engr. Ademu Muhammed Yahaya, has taken decisive steps toward revitalizing the Ankpa Waterboard site, which has long been abandoned.

During an inspection of the site on Saturday, Engr. Ademu thoroughly assessed its condition and reaffirmed his commitment to reclaiming all equipment belonging to the board. He also emphasized the importance of securing the largest water storage tank, located on the hill behind YAMAN Fuel Station, as part of efforts to restore functionality to the facility.

“This is just the beginning. I have also directed that adequate security personnel be deployed to the main Waterboard site to safeguard the remaining valuable assets,” Engr. Ademu stated.

This initiative according to the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Idris Mohammed Omale, shows his administration’s focus on accountability and resource management. He said beyond the Waterboard project, Engr. Ademu is also tackling critical infrastructure challenges, including the erosion crisis in Ajobe, a community that has suffered from severe environmental degradation for decades.

Accompanying the Chairman on the inspection were: Hon. Suleiman Yakubu, Special Adviser to the Chairman, Hon. Muhammed Shekuru Jibrin, Chief of Staff, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Shuaibu, Director of Local Government and other key stakeholders.
