Ankpa LG Chairman Receives Forum of Former Councillors, Pledges Inclusive Governance

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Council, Hon. Engr. Adamu Muhammed Yahaya, on Thursday received members of the Forum of Former Councillors and Supervisors, Ankpa Chapter, during a courtesy visit to his office.
The visit, according to the group, was to reaffirm their loyalty to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels and to pledge continued support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the Ankpa Local Government Council.
Speaking on behalf of the Forum, Chairman Hon. Umar Faruk Shaibu, assured of their readiness to work closely with the party leadership. He stressed the need for inclusiveness in all political activities, noting that unity and collaboration are key to advancing the development of the local government and the state.

He further emphasized that every initiative should be directed toward the progress of the people, adding that the success of any administration is best achieved when stakeholders are carried along.
The Forum also lauded the achievements of the council chairman, describing his leadership as people-oriented and worthy of support. They pledged stronger collaboration to ensure the continued growth of Ankpa and Kogi State.
In his response, Engr. Adamu commended the group for their solidarity and commitment to the ideals of the APC. He assured them of an enabling environment for greater participation in governance, reiterating his administration’s open-door policy.
“When an administration performs well, it strengthens the party and attracts even non-members to take interest in its activities. The essence of leadership is to deliver good governance, and as council chairman, I remain committed to serving all residents of Ankpa, irrespective of political affiliation,” he stated.
