Ankpa Petrol Tanker Explosion: Chief Onoja condole families of victims »

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Chief (Dr) Edward Onoja has condoled with the good people of Ankpa LGA over the fuel tanker explosion which occurred at Mabolo bridge at Otukpo Road, causing destruction of lives and properties.

Chief Onoja who said he is joining his Principal, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State who had earlier sent his condolences to the government and people of Ankpa, and particularly the bereaved families, decried the attitude of tanker drivers whom he said, seem to have made a habit of plunging different parts of Kogi State into mourning through reckless driving or by putting unserviceable vehicles on the road which get into accidents.

The Deputy Governor promised that the state will get to the bottom of the latest tragedy.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, Chief Onoja prayed God to grant those who lost their lives eternal rest, grant their families the fortitude to bear their losses, and healing to the survivors.
