APC Wins 22 of 25 House of Assembly Seats in Kogi
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won majority seats in the Kogi State House of Assembly election held on Saturday.
In the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state, the APC won 22 seats out of the 25 constituencies across the 21 council areas of the state, while the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) won 2 and 1 seats respectively.
Kogi is one of the eight states where governorship election did not hold on Saturday because the incumbent Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello, will complete his second term in office in January 2024.
In 2019, the APC won all 25 seats in the Assembly.
