Appeal Court Verdict, Victory for Kogi People, Hon. Anyebe

Kogi State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, has reacted to the Appeal Court judgement upholding the election of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

He described the judgement as a victory for the people of the state, adding that the judiciary has once again proven to be on the side of the people.

In a statement released earlier today, Hon. Monday expressed his satisfaction with the court’s decision, stressing the verdict as a triumph for democracy and the will of the people of Kogi State. He commended the judiciary for its diligence and impartiality in handling the electoral dispute, emphasizing that the judgment reflects the true mandate given by the electorate.

“I congratulate His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on this well-deserved victory. The affirmation of his election by the Court of Appeal is a clear indication that the people of Kogi State have made the right choice,” Hon. Monday stated. “This verdict not only reinforces our faith in the judicial system but also in the democratic process of our beloved state.”

Hon. Monday also called for unity and cooperation among all stakeholders in the state to support the governor in his efforts to develop Kogi State. He urged the youth to remain focused and committed to contributing positively to the growth and progress of the state, particularly in areas of sports and youth development.

“The youth of Kogi State are pivotal to our future. I encourage them to rally behind Governor Ododo and participate actively in initiatives that will drive the state forward. Together, we can achieve remarkable progress and build a prosperous Kogi State,” he stated.

The commissioner reaffirmed his dedication to advancing the interests of the youth and sports sectors under Governor Ododo’s leadership, promising continued efforts to create opportunities and enhance the well-being of the state’s young population.
