Arc. Salman Idris Leads Initiative to Empower Youth, Women for Enhanced Security in Constituency »

In a bid to address the security challenges facing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Hon. (Arc.) Salman Idris FNIA, in collaboration with Arcad Projects Limited, organized a one-day training and empowerment program for youth and women in the area.

The program, which took place on Friday, 9th May, 2025 at the Anglican Cathedral Hall in Kabba, was facilitated by the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM) in Ilorin.

A total of 100 participants were selected to take part in the training, with each individual receiving One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) in support of their participation. The goal of the program was to equip participants with the necessary skills and resources to contribute to the overall security of the constituency.

During the training, participants were taught various security measures, including but not limited to conflict resolution, community policing, and self-defense techniques. Additionally, the empowerment aspect of the program aimed to provide them with tools and resources to start their own businesses and become self-reliant.

Hon. (Arc.) Salman Idris expressed his commitment to improving security in the constituency through such initiatives, stating that empowering the youth and women is crucial in creating a safer and more prosperous community.

The event was hailed as a success, with participants expressing gratitude for the opportunity and the support received. The impact of the training and empowerment program is expected to be felt in the coming months as the participants actively contribute to the security and development of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
