Ata Igala To Confer Chieftaincy Title Of “Ogochi Ata-Igala” On Kogi COS Asuku

The Ata Igala and Chairman Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty (Dr) Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II is to confer the chieftaincy title of “Ogochi Ata Igala, on the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Mohammad Jamiu Asuku on Thursday, 17th November 2022 at the palace of Ata Igala, Idah LGA at 10 am.

This was formally disclosed via an official letter addressed to the Chief of Staff on Monday 14th November, 2022, by the highly revered monarch.

According to the letter, “The conferment is based on your immense contributions to the socio-economic development of lgala Kingdom, Kogi State and our dear country, Nigeria.”

While commending Pharm. Asuku’s uncommon leadership qualities, dedication to duty in driving the “Let’s Do More” Agenda of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello’s led Administration, the monarch referred to the Chief of Staff as a worthy son and dependable ally of the Igala nation, the traditional ruler showered blessings and prayers on the Chief of Staff and charged him to continue on the path of selfless and exemplary leadership in the discharge of his duties.

While responding to the good news, Pharm. Asuku commended the Ata Igala, HRM (Dr.) Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II and the entire Igala Traditional Council for the honour and finding him worthy of the title of Ogochi Ata-Igala, he assured the monarch that he would continue to do more for the development of Igala nation, Kogi State in particular and Nigeria in general.

The Chief of Staff appreciated His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for giving him the platform and opportunity to serve and contribute his quota to the development of the State. He stressed that this honor was made possible because His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello brought him to lime light and for that he owe him the honour and will forever remain grateful and loyal to his leadership.

“The man next to God in my life is Gov Yahaya Adoza Bello and all that i am today is due to his trust and confidence in me” he added.

“Ogochi” means the Bridge and the salutation is Udaba. (Cross)
