Auditor-General For LG Assures Kogi Poly Rector of Continued Gov't's Support »

Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government, Honourable Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege (Fancy), has assured the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, of the state government’s continued support towards sustaining the remarkable transformation taking place in the institution.

Hon. Siyaka gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to the Polytechnic on Thursday, 23rd October, 2025, where he commended the Rector and his management team for their outstanding commitment to infrastructural development, academic excellence and institutional reforms.

He described the progress recorded at the Polytechnic as a reflection of the vision and leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, whose administration continues to prioritize education as a key pillar of development.

The Auditor-General urged the Rector to persist in his endeavors to enhance the Polytechnic’s influence, adding that the State Government will continue to offer the requisite support to consolidate and maintain the progress already made.

In his remarks, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman expressed appreciation to Honorable Siyaka for the visit, characterizing it as a gesture of encouragement and solidarity.

He expressed once again the management’s strong commitment to being transparent, disciplined, and striving for excellence, all in alignment with the policy direction of the Kogi State Government.

The visit had in attendance some principal officers of the Polytechnic, who joined the Rector in receiving the distinguished guest.
