Bandits Attack: Rep. Salman Idris Visits Agbadu Community, Donates Funds to Support Vigilante Operation

The member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Hon. Salman Idris on Monday visited Agbadu community to commiserate with the victims of the bandits attack.
The visit came less than 24 hours after bandits attacked the community, killing two people and kidnapping six others at about 10 pm on Sunday.
The Rep. member assured the people of Agbadu that work is seriously ongoing to finally address the security situation in the area and promised to collaborate with the necessary government agencies to put an end to the insecurity.
Hon. Salman thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the urgent deployment of vigilantes to the area to prevent further occurrences of the unfortunate situation. He commended the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara, for his tireless efforts in addressing the situation.
He donated funds to the security formation in the area to enhance their operations and promised to continue to support and collaborate with them to ameliorate the situation.
“We are not unaware of the recent coordinated attack on our people by these murderous criminals. This act of killing our people is condemnable and we are taking urgent steps to address this sad situation.
We are conscious of the urgency to act and we will act accordingly. We are known to be very resilient and we will not be conquered by these criminals. We will do everything possible to defend our land and our people from these invaders,” Hon. Salman said.
He expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
Responding on behalf of the youths of the community, Mr. Alaba Moses Obamiyi thanked the Honourable member for standing in solidarity with the community and for donating generously to their security.
Also speaking on behalf of the community, Mr. Joel Oludoyi, a community leader, expressed the gratitude of the community to Hon. Salman Idris and assured him of their continued support.
