Bashir Gegu Hails Gov. Ododo For Implementing New Minimum Wage

The Commissioner for Solid minerals and Natural Resources in Kogi State, Honourable Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu on Tuesday commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for early implementation of the new minimum wage.

He made the remarks in an exclusive interview with the Electronic and New Media Campaign Council Committee for Kogi Local Government Area.

Engr. Bashir Gegu commended the impactful performance of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration, noting that since taking office on January 27th, 2024, it has prioritized civil servants in Kogi State.

He Lauded the Governor for being up–to–date in the payment of salaries and pensions, demonstrating his commitment to the welfare of civil servants.

According to him “It is gratifying to note that former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, made the best decision in bringing on board Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for continuity and consolidation adding that Kogi State is the first State in Nigeria to implement the New Minimum Wage of N72.500.00,”

Engr. Bashir Gegu congratulated the people of Kogi State on having a compassionate Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo and encouraged them to continue supporting the governor’s policies and administration and ensured the success of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the upcoming October 19th Council Elections.
