Bashorun Eseyin Celebrates Chief Folashade Arike Ayoade, at 60

The Chairman of Titans Holdings, Bashorun MD Eseyin, Ph.D, FCIHRM, FPOP, FLMI, has joined family, friends, and associates across Nigeria and beyond in celebrating the 60th birthday of a distinguished administrator, stateswoman, and public servant, Chief (Hon.) Folashade Arike Ayoade, Ph.D, fondly known as Mama Cabinet.

In a statement personally signed by the Company Secretary on his behalf, Bashorun Eseyin described Dr. Ayoade as a woman of grace, intellect, and compassion whose remarkable contributions to governance and humanity continue to inspire many. According to him, she has distinguished herself as a symbol of humility in leadership, a role model for public servants, and a shining example of what it means to combine intellect with humanity.

Reflecting on his years of working alongside her in government, Bashorun Eseyin recounted:
“I fondly call her Mama Cabinet, a title she earned not just within the Government but even beyond its corridors. I had the privilege of serving with her in the same government for almost four years. Although our relationship did not begin on the smoothest of terms due to initial misconceptions, I soon discovered in her the warmth of a big sister. Each time our paths crossed, she would playfully say, ‘Deola, say oori mi ni?’ (Deola, you didn’t see me?), a gesture that reflected her humility, humour, and approachability. That’s who she is: gracious, humane, and deeply respectful of others.”

The Titans Holdings Chairman further described Chief Ayoade as an astute administrator and a highly cerebral public servant whose unshakable commitment to duty has made her a beacon of excellence in governance. He stressed that her leadership style has always been marked by diligence, empathy, and fairness.

In a touching personal note, Bashorun Eseyin recalled her unwavering support during his family’s moment of grief:
“When I lost my dear wife, even though I was no longer in government service, she was one of the very first to visit our home. She sat with us for almost two hours, not just offering words of comfort but giving her presence and genuine empathy. She continued to stand by us throughout the burial period. That moment revealed a rare kind of heart, one that truly feels the pains of others and is never too distant to comfort those in sorrow.”

Celebrating her diamond jubilee, Bashorun Eseyin prayed that God would grant Chief Ayoade many more years of good health, happiness, and peace of mind. “As Mama Cabinet turns 60, I join countless admirers in celebrating her life of service, her inspiring personality, and her enduring legacy. May the years ahead be filled with grace, laughter, and greater accomplishments until the Lord returns.”

He concluded his message with warm wishes:
“Congratulations and Happy 60th Birthday, Mama Cabinet.”
