Breaking: Edward Onoja to join Haruspice at Iftar
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief (Dr) Edward Onoja has expressed his desire to join his friend and prolific writer, Abdullahi Haruna ‘Haruspice’ at his residence in Abuja to break Ramadan fast.
Onoja, a devote Christian made this request today when he commented on a post made by Haruspice on his Facebook page describing as a “model to true nationhood,” the bond of friendship that exists between Governor Yahaya Bello who is a Muslim from one tribe, and his deputy, Edward Onoja, a Christian from another tribe. https://tinyurl.com/ycw9gmb8
His comment: “My dear brother Haurispice, the Musing King, may God bless your ink.
“Reading through your piece gives me joy. And the last two paragraphs is the SIGN POST of it all.
“My take:
Nigeria, whether Muslim north or Christian South can actually work to building NATIONHOOD where tribe, tongue and faith though diverse – will be a leverage and not a baggage.
“Silver and gold have I none, but my token is my presence in your humble abode. It’s my desire to sit at your table for Iftar before the end of Ramadan. Invite your neighbors to the dinner.
Ramadan Kareem Omaye.”
