CAAM-G Congratulates Ododo on electoral victory »

…appeals to citizens to support incoming government

The campaign group for the emergence of Comrade Abdullahi Adamu as the next chairman of Lokoja Local Government, CAAM-G, has congratulated the incoming Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his well deserved victory at the polls.

This was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Lokoja and signed by the body’s head of media and publicity, Yabagi Mohammed on behalf of the group’s Chairman, Comrade Iliyasu Zakari.

The group noted that the efforts they put into Ododo Project were justified in view of the general acceptance enjoyed by the APC during last weekend’s election.

According to the group, the election has brought to the fore, the importance Kogi people place on performance in terms of projects and compassion for their needs, against the use of propaganda to promote lies and the utilisation of emotional blackmail against other candidates.

According to the statement, the APC’s victory saw the party winning in all parts of the state, including West, East and Central Senatorial Districts while the opposition parties recorded overly few votes in some parts of the state.

CAAM-G therefore used the statement to appeal to the winner to be magnanimous in victory by extending hands of fellowship to other candidates, adding that the effort to build Kogi State required the inputs of everyone concerned.

It urged the people of the state to also support the victory to enable the incoming government settle down to the business of governance on time for the good of the state.
