Chief Onoja condoles with Col. Babanawa over son’s death
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja has commiserated with elder statesman, Col. Suleman Ahmadu Babanawa (rtd.) over the demise of his son, lieutenant Jauro Ibrahim Suleiman.
In a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, Chief Onoja expressed deep regrets over the death of lieutenant Jauro Suleiman. He said the deceased exhibited gallantry in the fight against Insecurity having laid down his life for his Fatherland.
In his words, “This is a sad development for which we cannot question the Creator. Even as we grieve over the demise of your young and gallant son, we must accept it as the will of God and pray that God will forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest.”
Chief Onoja stated that the demise was a tragic loss not only to the deceased’s immediate family, but to Igah Community, and Olamaboro LGA, saying he brought honor to Kogi State, thus, his sacrifices will never be forgotten.
He prayed to God to comfort the bereaved family, and grant those he has left behind, the strength to overcome the irreparable loss.
