The initiative, aimed at supporting vulnerable households during the ongoing fasting seasons, targets indigent women and families in communities across the state. The event held in Lokoja witnessed the presentation of food packages to beneficiaries, marking the beginning of a statewide distribution exercise.

The Kogi state Coordinator of the movement, Hon. Jerry Samuel Olayemi, explained that the intervention is designed to support many families during the periods of fasting observed by Muslims and Christians.

According to him, the distribution is part of a broader humanitarian outreach of the City Boy Movement to provide relief and promote compassion among citizens, particularly during spiritually significant seasons such as Ramadan and Lent.

In her remark, the State Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, Mrs. Yusuf Anu, noted that the initiative will be extended to all local government areas of Kogi State, ensuring that indigent women and vulnerable households in rural and urban communities benefit from the programme.

The organizers further emphasized that volunteers and community representatives have been mobilized to ensure a smooth and transparent distribution process across the state.

Beneficiaries who received the food packages in Lokoja expressed appreciation to the City Boy Movement for the gesture, describing the support as timely and impactful.

The distribution exercise is expected to continue in other parts of Kogi State in the coming days, reaching more vulnerable residents as the Ramadan and Lent seasons progress.
