Held At Igala Unity House, Anyigba, Kogi State.

Preamble

The Forum of Kogi East Stakeholders of the National Youth Council of Nigeria organized youth leadership retreat with the theme: “Examining Governor Usman Ododo Strategic leadership Example” Retreat was held at Igala Unity House at Anyigba, Kogi State.

The retreat was organized to keep stakeholders and leaders from the zone abreast of the the operations of the Council and also get them acquainted with Governor Ododo leadership style.
Attendance
Retreat was attended by, , Chief Joseph Erico,Prof Usman Igbo, Rector Kogi State Polytechnic, Comr Onuh Edoka, SA to the Governor on Labour Matters, Engr Usman Nda Mohammed, Dr Victor Alewo Adoji PhD, who joined through Google meet, Mr Jibo M. Haruna Perm Secretary, Ministry Of Youth and Sport, who represented the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sport Development, Hon Monday AridaOjo Anyebe HRH Chief Wada Drisu Akogu, Comr Benjamin Ojodale, State Chairman NYCN Kogi State, Comr Engr SB Godwin SSA to the Governor on Youth Mobilization/Chairman Kogi East Stakeholder Forum, Comr Destiny Ali Keller SSA Youth Mobilization, Comr Isah Ojoduene Emmanuel, SSA Student Matters, Comr Dauda Ali, SSA Youth Mobilization, State Executives, Former State Executives, Coordinators from the zone and former Coordinators from the zone.

Presentation

The presentation was enriched with keynote presentation from very Distinguished Prof Usman Ogbo, and the very Distinguished panel of Discussants Victor Alewo Adoji PhD, Comr Onuche Edoka, Engr Nda Usman Mohammed and Comr Maximilian Thashilani.

Observations
From the presentation, technical sessions, contributions from participants, the following observations were made:

The committee appreciate His Alh. Ahmed Ododo’s leadership Example adding that it is the greatest assets that led to the development of our state. 2.Leaders from Kogi East needs to communicate effectively the unbiased workings of the State Governor to the people at the grassroots
Some Politicians from Kogi East politicizes issues above having real empathy for the people.
The real agenda should thrive on social equity, fairness and justice
Some appointees and elected leaders from the zone are not adequately doing enough to cascade the Governor’s style of leadership to the people. .
That Kogi Easterners should integrate with other zones for the ones and unity of Kogi State
Appeals to the Executive Governor of the State, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo should improve on the infrastructural development of Kogi East especially as it relates to the epileptic power supply of the Zone.

Stakeholders unanimously presented an award of “good governance and exemplary leadership” to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo Usman FCA, on his one year in Office.
The award was received by Mall Haruna M. Jibo Perm Secretary of Youth and Sport Development represented the Honourable Commissioner of Youth and Sport Development
