Comr. Onuh Edoka Gets Presidential Award for Guardianship of Workers Rights and Social Justice
Kogi Projector For Good Governance has honoured the Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka, with a Presidential Award for Guardianship of Workers Rights and Social Justice.
The Award was presented to Comrade Onuh Edoka on Friday in Lokoja by the Organization at its end of year ceremony.

Receiving the Award, Comrade Onuh Edoka dedicated the award to the Chief servant of Kogi State, His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo whose commitment to service delivery is second to none.
Comrade Onuh Edoka who was represented by Doctor Samuel Atuluku noted that there was no alternative to good governance and urged the body to intensity efforts on its training programmes in line with its vision for the society.

The Special Adviser who was also the father of the Day, appealed to the Organization to promote good governance through inclusive discussions and dialogue with political office holders at all levels and other stakeholders in order to attain set goals.
According to him, the present society is desirous of effective leadership and commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his exemplary performance in the last two years.
“At this point, let me commend this organization, a Non Profit Making one for that matter for its good works, I have not bribed anyone to be so recognized, and today, I dedicate this Award to my boss,His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State for creating the enabling environment which has culminated in this recognition at the moment. I am assuring everyone here that this government will leave by its name, will continue to deliver and justify the overwhelming mandate given to the Governor by the electorate”, Hon. Edoka averred.
Comrade Edoka assured of his continuous support to the organization and the society at large, adding that the award would spur him to do more, thanking the leadership of Kogi Projector for Good Governance for acknowledging his modest contributions to societal growth and development.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director General, Kogi Projector for Good Governance, Isah David Ohinoyi said the award was purely based on merit, explaining that such merit based recognition distinguishes the body from other organizations.
Isah David Ohinoyi particularly commended Comrade Onuh Edoka for effective industrial relations in Kogi State, noting that both within and outside the labour circle, the Special Adviser has made positive impacts, hence the recognition.
The Director General added that by recognizing those who are doing well in their chosen endeavors, others will be encouraged to emulate such sterling examples for the general good of the society.
The Guest Speaker, Bishop Kayode Ajibade, who is the Chaplain of the Federal University, Lokoja noted that the Kogi Projector for Good Governance has done good works over the years.
He stated that the drive for the attainment of set goals has been encouraging, hence the need to support its ideals.
