CON: Kogi poly Rector Felicitates with Governor Bello Over Conferment
The Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Usman Ogbo has on behalf of the institution’s Governing Council, Academic Board, Management, staff and students congratulated and felicitated with Governor Yahaya Bello on his most-deserved conferment with the iconic National Honour of the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
His felicitation which came in a press statement on Sunday described the conferment as most-deserved because, in both his private and public commitments, the governor has continued to demonstrate uncommon passion, zeal and patriotism required for the actualisation of the Nigerian Project.
He said “Your uncommon commitment to the Nigerian Project has manifested in the encouragement of unity in diversity, in youth consciousness and involvement in governance, in moral revival and in both the fiscal and physical development of Kogi State”.
“As an Executive Governor of a State with virtually all the multidimensional characters of the Nigerian Federation, you have demonstrated an unqualified capacity for cohesive and inclusive governance through a model of development agenda encapsulated in the New Direction Blueprint”.
The Rector added that such is evidenced in his commitment to youth inclusiveness in governance, in religious and cultural tolerance, in gender balance, in monetary and fiscal policy, in health management, in agricultural evolution, in the repositioning of the education sector, and lots more.
Above all, he pointed out that Gov. Bello has been a shining example of youthful drive and unwavering vigour in governance, showing relentlessly that with the youths’ continued involvement in leadership, the future of our nation is fully assured.
Dr. Ogbo noted that at Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, the institution is a living example of his administration’s indelible imprint, and they are ever proud to showcase his impact on the world stage.
“Once again, Your Excellency, congratulations for the most deserved iconic National Honour, even as we expect many more to come your way in the days and years ahead” he concluded.
