Danga and the consequence of good – by Samuel Wahab
Sometimes I think, and think hard about what people intend to achieve from bringing people down in this world. Sometimes when you think you have gotten the answer, another similar story of the “pull-me-down” syndrome comes up with an angle so grotesque, you are tempted to question the mental state of the accuser.
I am however comforted with a saying which says that, “Being a good person is very attractive, no one can ignore you”. And that includes, ladies and gentlemen, evil people.
Evil !
That is the only verb accurate enough to describe the actions of a so-called propagandist that has captivated the Kogi Social Media space for the past two days. Queen Nina, as she calls herself, has tried, unsuccessfully, to tarnish the image of the Commissioner of Water Resources, Hon. Abdulmumuni Danga. Take note of the verb “tried”, because hard as she pushed, she only succeeded in awakening silent onlookers who have followed his political history with clandestine amazement, and have been witnesses to his many amazing works.
It is just sad that the typical Nigerian social media explorer takes everything that has been presented at face value, without bothering to dig into the facts, else her story should never have even seen the light of the day.
Queen Nina claims that Hon. Abdulmumuni Danga had her beaten, alongside his own sister, Ummi, when they were called for a meeting at his behest to settle a family misunderstanding. She later claimed to have been “kidnapped”, alongside a other falsehoods. Edgar J. Mohn must have had her in mind when he said that, “A lie has speed, but truth has endurance”. The truth has endured, and her shameless antics have been laid bare for the whole world to see.
How is it that she was beaten, and the person with whom she claims to have been beaten alongside has released a video to counter the claim without any visible marks on her body?
How could a person who was kidnapped still have her gadgets with her, such that she was able to come online, make Live Videos and post?
How evil can you be to leave a person in good faith, and then go on to BRUISE YOURSELF just to prove to the world that he assaulted you?
AMAZING.
I refuse to believe that the “normal” human brain can conjure up these types of nonsensical claims without provocation. Hence, I strongly urge the Kogi State Government to have her samples requested for a Covid-19 test. After all, hallucinations have been proven to be one of the symptoms at a latter stage of manifestation.
Since his ascension into office, Hon. Abdulmumuni Danga has immediately made a positive impact, quickly identifying the loopholes in the effective rendition of his official duties, and putting an instant end to the small, yet niggling issues which has affected the supply of steady water to the Capital City, as well as pushing ahead in providing suitable water supply in every part of the State.
This must have turned heads, both good and evil. It is another demonstration of his good faith with the way and manner in which he has taken this issue, waving it away as a publicity stunt and focusing instead on more important issues, which is the supply of food materials to the poor and needy during this lockdown period which has affected the downtrodden in the entire Kogi Central.
It is quite evident that her attempt at blackmail has failed woefully, and with the outpouring of support which Hon. Danga has received since the news broke, it is interesting to see what her next line of action will be. This is not without anticipating the cluster of idiots knitting together with their cheap leader to start echoing falsehood abroad. We are use to that antiques and now know how new breed of same feathers have been birthed. One of whom is Elizbeth a.k.a Queen Nina.
Will she acknowledge her wrongs?
Will she apologize?
Will she go ahead with her lies? Expectedly, Yes!
We are all waiting.
As for many of us, we urge Hon. Abdulmumuni Danga to remain focused on his gigantic task of making a lasting difference. You have proven to be far above your years with the way you handle issues, and with this particular challenge, you have come out with flying colours.
Stay focused.
Akorò.
