Donors Dole Out Cash Gifts to CDI Foundation During First Donor’s Summit in Abuja
- Foundation in Turn, Donates Foodstuffs and Cash Gift to Orphanage Homes
To further propagate the activities of the foundation and humanitarian acts, the management team of CDI Children & Teens Foundation holds the first Gracious Givers/ Donor’s Summit of the foundation, in Abuja.
Representative and face of the foundation, Queen Chimamanda Divine Ibeh, during her opening remark, appreciated all the donors and sponsors of the foundation since her registration with the Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission in March 2022.
While welcoming the invited guests, nongovernmental organizations, Chief Executive Officers of private companies, and well wishers of Queen Chimamanda, Chairman of the Day, Dr Uche Nwosu, during his speech emphasized on the importance of the humanitarian activities being carried out by CDI foundation, and also noted in cognizance with theme of the event: “Every Child Deserves a Chance to Survive.”
The summit was lighted by the speech of the President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Dr. Solomon Adodo who spoke as the Guest Speaker on need to rally support for the underprivileged in our society, especially children; as the future of our nation depends on how well these children turn out to be later on in our society. He concluded by making a generous donation in support of the foundation’s activities across the country.
Eleven other donors who were present at the event, made commitments by pledging their support to the foundation whenever called upon.
The event ended with donations of foodstuffs which included; cans of groundnut oil, bags of rice, and cartons of indomie noodles along with cash gifts to the invited orphanage homes as support for the good works they are doing in ensuring a proper upbringing of the orphans in the society.
