Dr. Shaibu Oricha grants scholarship to 30 individuals to study at NKFI »

…as Rector announces full accreditation of all courses by NBTE.

The Director-General, Kogi State Government House Administration Lokoja, Dr. Shaibu Oricha has granted 30 youths selected across the 21-Local Government Area of the state scholarships to study any course of their choices at the prestigious Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of vocational and Advanced Technology.

This announcement was made on Monday by the Rector, Williams Charles Oluwatoyin during a press briefing where he also announced that the Nigeria Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted full accreditation to all the courses offered by the Institution.

He said that when he resumed office as the Rector, one very key strategy adopted was a continued advocacy to individuals that cuts across the traditional, Religious, political and humanitarian sector, suggesting to many of them to sponsor young men and women from their respective locality. He added that some well meaning individuals responded favourably to this plea on several occasions and Dr. Oricha has also responded gracefully.

The Rector said as an elder statesman and an astute administrator, Dr. Oricha has shown an unrelenting strive towards human capital development and such attributes is worth emulating.

The Rector used the opportunity to again urge those who are in respective positions of authority and posses the financial weight to emulate great men like Dr. Shaibu Oricha and toe the path of investing in the younger ones for the collective good of the people of kogi state and the nation by extension.

While congratulating the beneficiaries for being blessed with such a remarkable opportunity to empower themselves with remarkable skills that would improve their employability ratings and put them on the path of self sufficiency, he appealed to them to make the most of this opportunity.

He similarly expressed his appreciation and that of the institution to the sponsor of the scholarship, Dr. Shaibu Oricha for serving as a ray of hope to humanity and going above board to add value to the lives of the younger ones in the society.
