Easter Celebration: Kogi Poly Rector felicitates with Christians, calls for peaceful coexistence
The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr Usman Ogbo has enjoined Christians to practice the teachings of Jesus Christ by spreading love and peace across the world.
In an Easter statement he personally signed in Lokoja and made available to InsideStory, Dr. Ogbo gave admonished believers to be submissive to God Almighty.
The statement reads: On behalf of the Governing Council, Academic Board, Management, staff and students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I wish to felicitate with all Christian faithful on the auspicious occasion of this year’s Easter Celebration.
“The humble birth of Jesus Christ, His teachings, travails and death are a testimony to the fact that there is a season for everything, and that whatever we do would serve as reference after our passage.
“I would, therefore, like to enjoin us to, in conformity with Christ’s teachings, be submissive to God Almighty, radiate love, peace and humility.
“In the midst the festivity, we owe the body of Christ the responsibility to be a source of love and happiness to the less privileged and the needy in our society, and avoid divisive and destructive tendencies.
“It is our sincere wish that we take advantage of this auspicious occasion to pray for the advancement of Kogi State Polytechnic, Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole, so as to ensure prosperity for all.
“Once again, accept the hearty felicitations of Kogi State Polytechnic and my best wishes on the occasion of Easter celebration.
