Easter: Rashida Bello admonishes Christians to imbibe virtues of Peace, Love

The First Lady and wife of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Mrs Rashida Yahaya Bello has extended her best wishes to Christians in Kogi State and Nigeria in general as they celebrate this year’s Easter.

She urged them to imbibe the christlike virtues of peace, love and sacrifice which the festival signifies.

In an Easter message signed by Her Senior Special Assistant, Victor Okee, the wife of the Kogi State Governor stressed that the Easter season was a period of sober reflection on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ which lessons should be imbibed and reflected on at all times.

“I am urging everyone to exemplify the significant lessons of the Easter period in our daily lives and to embrace peace, good neighbourliness, forgiveness and love in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ,” she said.

Mrs. Bello maintained that sustenance of Peace and unity remains fundamental to the progress and development of the Nation.

She further admonished the political class to also reflect on how best to move our country, Nigeria forward especially as the 2023 general elections approaches.

Mrs Rashida Bello then appealed to Nigerians for prayers towards the 2023 presidential ambition of her husband, Governor Yahaya Bello, assuring Nigerians that there is hope.

“I congratulate Christian faithfuls on the successful completion of lent and also wish them a joyous Easter celebration,” she concluded.
