Echocho a Senator Whose Quest for Service Debars Every Form of Selfish Criticism

By Yabagi Abdullahi Umar

In a society where the people are made to propagate selfish interest above societal progress and development, anyone who dares to change the narrative is visited with all forms of criticism driven by their selfish interest. Criticism except constructive ignites development. This is the reason why the daring Senator, Dr. Sen Jibrin Isah Echocho PhD who has set a standard that would be difficult to beat in a long time to come has remained steady in his mandate to serve the people.

In his continued passion to deliver dividends of democracy and most importantly, fulfilling his legislative assignments, he has within his first term and succeeding term built Rice milling factory in Abejukolo and baji Local Government Areas, Cassava processing factory in Ankpa, Sugan cane processing factory in Bassa, Cashew processing factory in Ofu Local Government, Orange Juice processing factory in Ofu and reconstructed gigantic palm oil processing factory in Acharu. Taking into cognisance of the crops each environment is naturally endowed with. Echocho is building Kogi East not for the benefit of today but for the prosperity of tomorrow.

The priority he attached to his constituency responsibility has seen him in most recent times dolling out 20 million naira to 20 graduates in order to help them become self-reliant and in the future employers of labour. This by so doing will contribute to the economic life of the people. An empowered people is a liberated people.

It must also be put on record for the upteenth times that the 20 million Echocho empowerment project is an ongoing one and so the transparent manner it is being organized makes it an opportunity for those yet to get to participate rather than making criticism of what others are already enjoying.

When the 20,000 palliative money was shared by the distinguished Senator, it was criticised to be too small, so it was of the rice recently shared. Are we not clearly against our own progress? Know this, the people no longer believe in lies, hate but the service they are expected to enjoy.

There is a compelling need for all, irrespective of selfish interest to rally round this man who for the first time insists the old order of Senators keeping to themselves all without taking the constituents into consideration, must die. Except the cry is not for the well-being of the people, support Echocho to do more and succeed for the benefit of all.
