Ecstasy in Kogi East as Radio Kogi Ochaja Returns to Airwaves

Residents of Kogi East have welcomed the return of their beloved community radio station, Radio Kogi Ochaja, back on air after a prolonged period of silence. The station, a long-standing voice of the people, resumed broadcast earlier this week, bringing joy to listeners across the region.

For years, Radio Kogi Ochaja played a crucial role in connecting the people of Kogi East, providing them with news, entertainment, and educational content. The station, known for its diverse programming in local dialect, has been instrumental in promoting unity and culture within the Igala-speaking communities.

The station’s revival was made possible through concerted effort the Kogi State government who released funds for procurement of a new transmitter after the old one was vandalized by criminals

Listeners have already started tuning in to their favorite shows, as they expressed their gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for bringing the station back on air to continue its legacy as a pillar of communication and development in the region.
