Education: Hon. David Zacharias Distributes School Uniform, Bags, Notebooks, Others Items to Pupils »

The member representing Idah Federal Constituency who’s also the House Chairman committee on FCT Judiciary, Rt. Hon. David Idris Zacharias, known for his dedication to the welfare of his constituents, has taken another commendable step in supporting education within the Idah Federal Constituency. In a well-organized event, Zacharias distributeed educational materials, comprising school uniforms, bags, notebooks and shoes to pupils across various schools in the constituency.

The distribution which began today at Ofu Local Government and is expected to go round the four Local Government Area that makes up Idah Federal Constituency in the coming days.

The beneficiaries of this first phase of the school materials are; Ugwolawo Community Secondary school, Ochadamu Community Secondary School, Ofakaga Community Secondary School, Alla-Ejima Secondary School and Comprehensive Secondary School Okabo to mentioned but few.

This initiative is particularly significant as it aims to alleviate the financial burden on parents and guardians who may struggle to provide these basic school necessities.

By ensuring that pupils are well-equipped with uniforms and learning materials, Zacharias is addressing both the educational and social challenges faced by children from low-income families. His efforts are directed toward encouraging higher school enrollment and attendance, improving the self-esteem of students, and fostering a more positive attitude toward learning.

According to Hon. Rilwan Momoh, the Senior Legislative aide to the lawmaker who represented his boss during the distribution said the distribution reflects Zacharias’ broader vision of investing in human capital development. He said as a staunch advocate for education, he recognizes that providing these essentials not only supports the academic journey of the young learners but also contributes to building a solid foundation for the future of the constituency.

“His contributions to education, along with other empowerment programs, demonstrate his commitment to creating opportunities for the youth, reducing poverty, and ensuring that every child has access to quality education regardless of their background”, he added.

In their separate remarks, various community leaders, PTA Chairpersons and Principal of the beneficiary schools applauded the federal lawmaker for his gestures. They offered special prayers for the political success of Hon. Zacharias.
