EDUCATION: Kogi state government begins free registration of 15,033 students for 2024 JAMB

The Kogi State government has commenced the process of registering 15, 033 Students in the state for the 2024 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.

In a statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Musa Solomon, he disclosed that the free registration is in consonance with the recently signed law on free examination registration for students in public primary and secondary schools in the State.

Recalled the governor Usman Ododo has resolved to continue with the legacies of the immediate past Governor of the state Yahaya Bello across all sectors especially in education .

Mr. Solomon said in a follow up to the payment of free WAEC fees for 15,033 SSS3 students in public secondary schools across the State, the State Government has commenced the registration of the same 15,033 students for 2024 JAMB. He said the 15,033 students that have been enrolled for JAMB should get forms from the their schools and proceed to any CBT Center in their respective local government areas for registration.

He noted that students from Ibaji, Yagba West, Kogi, Ofu and Bassa local government areas that have no CBT Centers are to go to their local government headquarters for registration on Friday 16th of February, 2024 as teams will be there to register them.

The statement further emphasized that the CBT Registrationy is free as the Kogi state government has fully paid for the JAMB examination.
