Eid-El-Fitir: Kogi Governor Prays for Peace, Progress for Nigeria

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has prayed to Allaah to make peace, unity, and progress permanent features of the state and Nigeria, urging citizens to unite and work for a better country.

In a short interview after observing the Eid prayers today at the Mohammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja, the Governor said: “I am deeply grateful to God for the gift of life and the rare privilege for me and my team to serve our people here in Kogi State and of course the Nation.

I thank each and everyone of you, men and women, brothers and sisters of our dear state for your support for your believe in our aspirations to serve our land. This support in making us deliver on our campaign promises and the mandate given to us by God Almighty.

“My message to the people of Kogi State is for us to continue to reflect on the lesson learnt from the Ramadan speech. The lesson of compassion, the lesson of love, the lesson of peace, the lesson of unity and of course understanding.

“I call on every son and daughter of our dear State to come and join hands with us so that we can build the state that all of us can be proud of outside the state and the shore of this country.

I sincerely appreciate you all and congratulations on the eid Mubarak”.

The Governor had earlier arrived the Eid praying ground alongside his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Ali Bello, closely followed by the state APC Chairmanship, Abdullahi Bello; the Majorly Leader of Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Suleiman Abdulrazaq; Commissioners and many other cabinet members.
